Lagrange multipliers in linear elastostatics

The thesis deals with the use of Lagrange multipliers, explaining the principle of their use and the calculating process. Lagrange multipliers are introduced into joints of a given truss structure. The calculation is conducted using minimalization of the potential energy and the principle of virtual work. Results are verified by direct elimination of the variables.

The development is in electrical vehicles, navigation, electrical aircraft, high-power wind generators, multi-phase electrical machines and drivers. With development in the automotive industry and airspace industry, the need of high-reliability electrical machines. This fact results in the development of poly-phase machines. These machines try to achieve a higher reliability with the same or higher power rating.

Metoda Lagrangeových multiplikátorů ve variačním počtu

Tato práce řeší několik základních příkladů z variačního počtu a demonstruje prospěšnost zamyšlení se a případné pozměnění úlohy bez snížení dimenze za přítomnosti vazeb. Všechny úlohy jsou řešeny metodou Lagrangeových multipli- kátorů. Především v konečné dimenzi demonstruje hypotézu autora ohledně ne- snižování dimenze problému klasifikace definitnosti diferenciální formy druhých derivací a ukazuje jednak příklad, ve kterém je autorův nápad prospěšný, i pří- klad, kde svádí na scestí. 1

In this paper we describe the derivation of the standard FETI method and its iterative alghorithm based on the projected conjugate gradient method.We describe the derivation of the FETI method and formulate the original problem as a saddle-point or a dual dual problem.
